One Man's Gift To The Psychedelic Movement That Helped define A Generation
Victor Moscoso is a Spanish-American artist best known for producing psychedelic rock posters, advertisements, and underground comix in San Francisco during the 1960s and 1970s. He was the first of the rock poster artists of the 60s era with formal academic training.
His work was a major part of the informative years of San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district. From 1964 to 1968, a wave of cultural and political change swept the Haight, then the whole United States, and then the world. Victor Moscoso established himself as one of the great leaders in psychedelic poster art, playbills, and advertisements during this period of change. His work continues to inspire the artist in everyone.
